Memorial Day weekend: To the Hamptons off we go! #Spring ;)
If you want the stereotypical fancy-party Hamptons experience -> Stay in Montauk
This is party / Hamptons Summer Cental.
Where to go? you might ask
1. The Surf Loge -> is you want to emerge yourself in the classic Hamptons scene, straight from Gossip Girl - this is your spot. Think lounge on the beach, and lost of boat shoes, salmon shorts and polos : ) - TIP: get there early, the line gets huge and the later you come the lower change of getting in
2. The Sloppy Tuna -> the more relaxed version of the Surf Loge -> think less put together (maybe slightly more drunk-ish? ;) ) crowd ready to dance all night in this laid back bar with a popping dance floor and DJs on point!
What it has?
- A beach
- A cute downtown with little shops
- ... The Boardy Barn
- and the AM
The Boardy Barn is an experience in its own -> get ready for the crazy, (a bit trashy) throwback to your state school college party days -> with $2 Beer (flying around), guys in tank tops and Footloose along with Sweet Home Alabama coming from the speakers
The AM is one of the few "real night life clubs" with a normal dance floor and an awesome DJ. Go there is you are looking for a classic city-like night out. Also Justin Bieber came in the night we were there - to give you an idea : )
Small (and not as ridiculously expensive - relatively to rest of Hamptons -> On that note cabs are SO EXPENSIVE in the whole Hamptons - think $10-25 per head no matter where you are going - even if it is just 3 miles - also Uber is banned) town where we stayed - the cool thing about it is that it is near the park which is awesome for running! : )
