Road to Hana, Maui
Road to Hana, or Hana Highway, is Maui's staple for a reason. It is an 65km way connecting the towns: Kahului and Hana, filled with waterfalls, bamboo forests, and parks making it the absolute must - do for anyone visiting Maui.
- Bring sneakers or hiking boots
- Bring bug spray - you will need it
- Bring swimsuits, what could be more fun that waterfall hoping - literally? ;)
- If you have enough time and a car, which you can drive on a dirt road, continue past the town Kaupo on the other, South, side of the island - it is absolutely beautiful and very underrated. It's climate is also completely different tan on the 'proper' part of Road to Hana. I have never breathed fresher and more crisp air than on the South side of Maui.
