Locanda Verde, NYC
Came for the Main Course … stayed for their bread (that they give you as you wait for the entrée)
The bread, omg you guys! -> sooo delicious.
My restaurant visit started with a warm focaccia (which is a flat oven-baked bread) and the combination of aromatic spices made every carb worth it.
As for the main dish: Hugged by the bar for my exploratory-solo dinner, I ordered lamb which was delicious (but the portion was supper small). However, a girl sitting next to me (also along and by the bar -> no judgement!) stated up a conversation with me. She ordered “Bucatini Nero” -> an sea inspired (squid! dyed) and amazingly smelling pasta. Long story short, by the time I knew it, she offered me to try it. (yes, yes, yes … but if you only were there and smelled and saw if you would understand)… and it was amazing! Next time I am there, this will be what I order.
Because at the end of the day it was her food, I felt too shy to ask her to photograph it… so I didn’t. Sorry guys! : (
