Thanksgiving in New York

Thanksgiving in New York

I love the premise behind Thanksgiving as a special time in which we celebrate what we are thankful for. In seems like during the everyday we are so often focused on what didn't work out or what went wrong, that we forget how far we have come. It is so easy to focus on the negative and forget about all the wonderful small (and large ;) ) things this year that made us smile, laugh or jump out of excitement. I am a strong believe that in order to conquer the world (or conquer the dat ;) ) we need to be kind to ourselves -> treat our own selves like we would our best friend: with kindness, understanding and compassion - and keeping in mind what we are thankful for is definitively part of that.

But... Thanksgiving shouldn't be just one day. That is why I challenge you guys - and myself (!)- to every day before we go to bed write out one thing that we are thankful for. Just one thing and starting tonight, not in a week, or on Jan 1st! I have a feeling that smiles and good dreams will be guaranteed. : )

xoxo
