Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, work and food. Hope you have a nice stay and will return soon!

Anassa Taverna, NYC

Anassa Taverna, NYC

Anassa is a Greek restaurant on New York's Upper East Side, right next to the Bloomingdale's department store. There are two main reasons why I really enjoyed my visit there

1. Atmosphere

I really enjoyed its rustic decor, warehouse-style setting combined with dimmed lights adding an upscale chic flavor.

2. Food

Lamb being my favorite meat (right after a proper stake ;) ), I am drawn to Greek quinine and Anassan full satisfies my cravings. Their "Lamb Salad" with lamb, spinach, eggplant and xinotiri is so delicious that I could eat it every day for lunch.

Seafood is another one of their strengths: it is fresh, tasty and there is plenty of choice, that will certainly make any seafood-lover happy.

Last but certainly not least:Greek specialities! Anassa's menu includes many classic Greek dishes and small bites. It's the perfect place to get a taste of Greece before your upcoming holiday, or to relive the memories you've made during your last trip to the land of Socrates and Plato.
